Calories that is! I firmly believe that the secret to a sustained weight loss and healthy body, besides a sensible diet, is exercise! I love all kinds of activities, I do jump roping, running, step, yoga and much more. On this page you'll find links to great fitness and health sites I've found. Also, this page wouldn't be complete without a great big THANK YOU to the people on the ThinkThin e-mail list! Without their continued support I would have never reached my goal as fast as I did! So, jump in the deep, start an exercise routine and let the links and other information on this page guide you!
Since first writing this page, I have taken the ACE Personal Trainer course. Due to family circumstances, I have not taken the exam yet, but I recommend this course to anyone who's interested in learning more about what exercise does to our body, physiology and ways to design good workout programs.
Below I have assembled many fitness and diet links, updated last in January 2004. Note that I will not place links that specifically recommend certain diets or weightloss products about which I either know nothing or have read negative reviews. If a site recommends a product, I don't necessarily endorse that recommendation. I feel strongly that results can be obtained without any chemicals or supplements or fad diets.

Below are some before and after pictures. I lost 61 pounds between April 14th, 1998 and the end of August 1998. I go to the gym daily and work out a minimum of 1 hour. I take advantage of everything the gym has to offer to keep enjoying my work outs. I also drink at least 3 liters of water every day and try to control the portions of my food intake, eating an almost vegetarian, low fat diet.
